Visiting Apple Growers

Above is the new super spindle system. With this system, growers can plant more apple trees with a given space because they are straight up and eats a little space. 

Below are older apple tree system, harvesting is harder. A grower based in Kelowna, BC said that one of the problems they are having are apple pickers. Using robots in the future will work well with super spindle system.

 After the apples are harvested, some of them go to different packing plants for juicing and making cider.

One of the popular cedar wine makers is Scenic Rd. They use some crab apples and other varieties that they didn't disclose to make a wonderful tasting drink. Of course, the day wouldn't end without us having to try them.
